Landscapes - Ottawa River
The Ottawa River is a constant drawing point for landscape photography. Living in the Ottawa area, I feel privileged to be so close and to have the opportunity to withness the changes in season or even the change in weather. Ottawa, locanted on the south shore of the river can witness the sun set on the river, which has presented many spectacular sights, only a few of which I have been able to capture. Summer shows the glimmering surface of the water as in a frame of lush green leaves, with trees sometimes shown as silhouettes. he different shapes of trees set themselves out against the sky in a great variety and in the fall in many colours. View the ones I have collected for you, and if you live in Ottawa, perhaps you will recognize some of them

Seeing the photographs is like being there and walking on the streets, surrounded by tall buildings and lush trees that give ample shadow, making this a very pleasant city to walk in.

Cities - Las Vegas
Vegas is glitter, glamour, gambling, make believe It takes a while before you get the immense ingenuity of it all. After all this is the desert. Yet there is water, lots of it, spectacular demonstratios of engineering. Artists and engineers were at work here, creating a replica of the most admired sights and cities of the world. As people we are fascinated with thise locations and their sights. Las Vegas brings it all in one spot for all to see, and that in the desert! Americans are the master of fairy tale creation, and we all love fairy tales. Fairy Tales remind us of our childhood and all the stories we were told - a time in which everything is possible as we dream it. And children can build anything in their imagination. Someone had the courage to make a dream a reality. create hospitality, entertainment, employment and vitality in the desert. When we look at this, are we not inspired? If we dare to dream, what could we create? Images soon to follow.

Cities - Alanta

Cities - Washington
Washington has of course its own character. Each city has its own character. Umbrellas ar part of this as were at the time I was there briefcases on wheels. They exist anywhere, but it was clear that more people in Washington make the choice to wheel their briefcase. The design of the city could no be ignored. The star design, reminiscent of areas in Paris results in unique intersections and in wedge shaped buildings. One of the coffee houses took advantage of this peculiarity by having glass walls so that one could look through the building. Finally, dancing in the streets. The musicians are there and people dance. Photos of Washington D.C. to follow within a couple of weeks.

Cities - Ottawa, Canada

Cities - New Orleans
New Orleans after Katrina. A brave new world. The French quarter was the first to be rebuilt, as this is the lifeblood of the commerce of the city. Having the French quarter created employment and a revived tourist trade, so vital for the area. The aquarium was also reopened as soon as possible. It was ironic that this world of water could not sustain itself during the flood, but due to extended power outages the pumps ceased to function and the water could no longer sustain life. Two sharks survived and somehow were able to swim out. In New Orleans the going is easy There is music and drinking on the streets and Bourbon Street at night is Full of people while beads are thrown from the balconies and land on the groud.

Travel - Baton Rouge - Habitat for Humanity
My second trip to New Orleans, a month after the first one was for the purpose of building houses for Habitat for Humanity in Baton Rouge. While my companions took up residence in Baton Rouge, I had found accommodation in New Orleans and travelled every day by bus (free at that time) to Baton Rouge. Three houses went up in a week and after the third day one house exterio was complete, including siding and roof. Some great photos will illustrate this happening at Avenue K.
